If installing a double rod closet system mount the top rod 81 inches above the floor and the lower rod 40 inches above the floor. For a double rod closet the standard height of the top rod is 81 75 inches from the floor and the standard height of the bottom rod is 40 5 inches.

Continue to allow about 24 inches of space from the rod to the back of the wall but increase the height of the top rod. Different from single rod height you should mount the top rod of a double bar system around 6 75 ft above the floor. If you are installing dual rods in the closet the hanging measurements and spacing changes. One rod is mounted just below the top shelf and the other rod is mounted 42 inches above the floor.
